As we say "Good Bye" to Toni, we continue God's Will in spreading His Word through fellowship and study.

Everyone who knows about the Taco Bar Bible Study, has had the privilege of meeting Toni Unrein, the Hostess blessed abundantly by God with a gift of stewardship. She started the Taco Bar Bible Study in hopes to help God's people of all generations, backgrounds, and current experiences meet and discuss the Word of God. I'm not sure she knew it, but what was put in her heart by God, manifested more than just good food and vibes, but relationships between individuals that God has lead in her direction from all walks of life, thirsty to not only hear, but have the opportunity to participate in spreading the Word of God as well.

Wow! That is God at work

Every second Saturday, Toni would invite a few of her attendees a few minutes early to help her cook. All of her ingredients were both vegan and vegetarian, giving all SDA members alike the opportunity to enjoy good food. While waiting on their arrival, she would began collecting the ingredients and placing them on her island counter top, in the center of the kitchen. This, my friends, is how I met Toni.

In Awe

Tennille invited me after a great Sabbath at White Rock SDA Church. Honestly, most people would call it a kid napping, but because I'm a sucker for good vegetarian food, I considered it to be an invitation that I couldn't refuse. Through the long drive she told me how she came across the tall beauty, with a heart of humility and after God's own heart.

As we arrived at her home in McKinney, Tennille finally said, and her name is Toni.

Welcome

Tennille rang the door bell, and Toni opened the door. She was kind, and welcoming I felt as though we've met before. I was quiet, but that didn't hesitate Toni from giving me instructions in the kitchen. I washed my hands and removed the Cilantro leaves from the sticks, while listening to her and Tennille discuss their week. By the time she handed the brush to me with new instructions to paint the potatoes, others arrived, and greeted with hugs and smiles. I felt ... favored.

Before I knew it we were in prayer, thanking God in Jesus name for the food we were about to eat, and asking for His blessing upon everyone who was speaking and hearing the word of God. For me, it was like being around unfamiliar family faces. Learning everyone and their experience with God that lead them to be devoted and obedient to His Will and Word. Finally we finished eating, and began discussing that evenings' topic, Pontius Pilate, conducted by Corey Clinton. What a discussion?! The many views, judgments against Pilate, and adored hearts for Jesus and His silence in such heated and temper tempted moments. Then the tables turned as we were asked the ultimate question, "Who have you been a Pilate to?" We looked at each other with long eyes, disappointed in our judgmental ways. We ended the discussion in prayer, asking God to forgive us for our sins, renew our hearts in Jesus name through His word, and remind us to be conscience of our behavior to others. While saying "Good Bye" with so much energy and readiness for the week ahead, Toni laid something really heavy on everyone, "I'm the Taco Bar Bible Study to a more central location, so please pray for someone to continue the Taco Bar Bible Study."
